My Buddy 125 scooter

Exciting news! An article I wrote about how riding a scooter can simplify your life was posted on the blog Unclutterer last Friday. Go read it! (Ignore the crabby comments from the anti-scooter faction. Who knew scooter haters even existed?)

And expect more posts about my scooter and how much I love it in the future!

what a fun article! and i'm jealous of your scooter :) so cute! you can't really use one in NYC for more than a few months a year. that, of course, has never stopped me from looking at one every year and thinking about buying one!

It's lovely and it's orange, my very favorite scooter color!

Great article! I'm actually thinking of getting a scooter... At one point, Costco was selling scooters and I almost bought one! What's the farthest (distance-wise) that you've traveled on your scooter in one trip? I don't think I'd be able to drive it from Marina del Rey to Downtown for work, but for everything else, it would be great!

I live in Silver Lake and my last job was in Burbank, so I drove about 10 or 11 miles each way, often through Griffith Park. I think a scooter would be great to have in the beach towns, where traffic can be so awful just getting around town. I HIGHLY recommend going for a 125cc engine, even though it is more expensive. 50cc just can't keep up with the speeds on most roads in the LA area and I think it would be stressful to be topping out at 30mph. I also highly recommend the Buddy; it's a great first scooter.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll do my research and see what I can come up with. I would love to save some money on gas (and help the environment, of course).
