Gifu hearts you!

Hontoni? Are you happy or sad about that?

I love strawberries, and hey, those kewpies have on fake eyelashes.

Of course! Kewpie bananas! That's EXACTLY what I was expecting next.

.... gotta love Japan. :D

On a side note, I recently found out you can get Japanese Kewpie Mayo in the US. That stuff is AMAZING.

ahhh*! i miss you!!! enjoy gifu and thailand in all their glory and then come home!

*i hate finals. ToT

I just planted rice yesterday with the school kids... we start the seeds in april and then plant in june and harvest in november and then we make mochi!!!!!!!!

Love the skirts! And the kewpie bananas crack me up!

My daughter would literally go bananas over the pink banana kewpie. :)

Leaving Japan?!? Oh no! I remember leaving Italy after 6 years. It was very sad and strange. Hope you are feeling ok about it!

Yes, I'm really leaving in seven weeks! I feel both happy and sad -- too much to write about in a comment, but I'm sure I'll have a post about it soon.

Thanks for the skirt love. I couldn't believe my luck when I saw the snails!

Japan has changed me for the better. I hope you will always look back on this journey as time well spent. Yoroshiku onegaishimas

The skirts are marvellous! I hope you will keep on posting from where you will be after you left Japan! Good luck!

I may try to align my inner spirit with a kewpie banana for the rest of the week :-)

Do they have other kewpie fruits/veggies for other seasons? That would rock. And cute skirts!!

Gosh! Does that mean the Japanese candy reviews will stop? But I'm sure you'll figure out a way to fill the void in our hearts.

Melissa, I don't remember other fruits, but I've seen Kewpie in the shape of other foods, most famously tarako, which are cod roe sacs. Yum yum!

I will keep posting from Los Angeles and will still do candy review every week, though it will most likely become International Candy Friday.

love the snail skirt!
