I spotted a guy carrying this bag at the train station tonight, a truly gigantic bag decorated like an old-school '80s boom box. It was big enough to carry a small child inside...or maybe an old-school '80s boom box? Either way, I wanted to steal it.

I have the smaller size of that bag. They were made by Loop NYC.

Hi there,
Just wanted to say how much I enjoy reading your blog. What a great record you will have of your time in Japan.
I lived in Italy for 5 years in my 20's (1997-2002) and I wish that I had had the nous to create such a living journal of my experience. My Mum would have loved it too!

I love that bag! I have seen them in all different sizes and almost bought one once (I think they have them at Village Vanguard next to Loft in Nagoya) but I decided against it at the last minute. You should get one!

this bag is dope. but i found a line of bags in New York that have a real stereo system and speakers built in so you can listen to your music. you hook up any PAD to the 3.5mm headphone jack and you can really turn it on and go 80's boom box back in the day.

Great bag! Never seen one like this before, but I guess you now have enough links of where to get one anyway.
Question: Do you think he uses that bag during rush hour? :D

I saw the whole line in Toronto - they were out of my budget though - perhaps we can knit one!
